Privacy Policy
1. Personal Data
Personal data refers to information that can be used to identify you, such as your name, address, telephone number, or email address. Information that cannot be directly linked to your identity (such as preferred websites) does not fall under this category.
When visiting our website, we automatically collect certain non-personal information, such as the number of visits or the duration of use. This data is collected anonymously and is used exclusively for statistical purposes in order to improve our services.
2. Use of Your Data
We require personal data in order to provide the services and offers you request. This applies, for example, when you make a booking, participate in surveys or competitions, or contact us via email.
When booking travel services, we also collect data about you and, where applicable, about accompanying travelers, based on the information you provide. Please ensure that you only pass on data of third parties with their consent.
Your personal data is used solely for the processing of the requested services, the fulfillment of contractual obligations, and—subject to your consent—for advertising or market research purposes. You may object to the processing of your data at any time and withdraw your consent at any time.
Data retention periods:
Business correspondence: 6 years
Tax-relevant documents: 10 years
Job application documents: 6 months
In addition, your data will be automatically deleted once it is no longer required for the provision of services or after statutory retention periods have expired.
3. Transfer of Data to Third Parties
In order to process your travel bookings, we may transfer your personal data to our contractual partners, such as tour operators, airlines, hotels, travel agencies, car rental companies, insurance providers, or payment service providers.
In some cases, this transfer may also involve partners located in third countries. We ensure compliance with all applicable data protection regulations. Your data is only shared to the extent necessary to provide the service and is not passed on for other purposes, particularly commercial purposes, without your explicit consent.
4. Google Analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC. Google Analytics uses cookies that are stored on your device and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated is generally transmitted to and stored on Google servers in the United States.
We use Google Analytics with IP anonymization activated, which means your IP address is shortened within the EU or the EEA. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser settings. Further information about data collection by Google Analytics and how to object can be found in Google’s privacy policy.
5. Meta Plugins (Facebook & Instagram)
Our website integrates plugins from the social networks Facebook and Instagram (Meta Platforms). When you visit a page containing such a plugin, a direct connection to the servers of Meta is established. If you are logged into your social media account, your visit to our website may be associated with your profile.
We have no influence on the type and scope of the data collected by these platforms. For further information, please refer to the respective privacy policies of Facebook and Instagram.
6. Newsletter & MailChimp
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email address exclusively to send you information and offers related to our travel services.
We use MailChimp, a service provided by Rocket Science Group LLC (USA), to distribute our newsletters. Your email address is stored on MailChimp servers in the United States. MailChimp is certified under the “Privacy Shield” framework, ensuring an adequate level of data protection in accordance with EU standards.
When you open the newsletter or click on links, MailChimp may collect technical information such as your IP address and time of access. This data helps us improve our newsletters but is not used to personally identify you.
You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the unsubscribe link included in each email. Your data will then be deleted from our servers as well as from MailChimp’s servers.
7. Links to Other Websites
Our website may contain links to external websites. This privacy policy does not apply to other providers. We therefore have no influence over whether their operators comply with data protection regulations and accept no responsibility for the accuracy, timeliness, or completeness of their content.
